Gunter Attracts Transfer Attention

Chris Gunter

Former Cardiff City, Apprentice of the Year winner Chris Gunter is being courted by an unnamed Championship Club according to BBC South Wales.

The Tottenham and Wales international full-back, now 19, joined Spurs from Cardiff for approximately £3m in January 2008 but has made only three Premier League appearances this season.

He joined Nottingham Forest on loan in March and impressed at the City Ground.

Newport-born Gunter said in April he had enjoyed the move and he did not rule out a return to the Club.

Gunter, who went on to help Forest maintain their Championship status, said:

“It’s a fantastic club with brilliant people and it couldn’t have gone any better, I’m contracted to Spurs but if they tell me to go for a season on loan then it’s something to consider.”
