LFE Regional Officer Roger Gibbins (pictured in his heyday) produced a creditable performance as Cardiff City Masters reached the final of the Western Masters.
A late call up to the squad, Gibbins who represented Cardiff on 281 occasions relived former glories notching goals in a 4 – 2 triumph over Bristol Rovers and a 2 – 2 group stage draw with Bristol City to see the Bluebirds through to the final.
Unfortunately he was powerless to stop the younger legs of the Bristol City Masters triumphing 3 – 2 in a close final encounter.
