Fry Confident James Will Come Good

Barry Fry has backed Luke James to come good for Peterborough.

James 20, who was the League One Apprentice of the Year in 2013, moved to the Posh last September after bursting on to the scene at Victoria Park in 2011-12.

The youngster netted 15 goals in his last full season with Pool but has so far failed to hit those heights at London Road.

He managed just two goals in 34 appearances last term but Posh director of football Fry is confident he will come good.

“My opinion of Luke is he’s not scored goals for us but he’s arguably one of the best forwards we’ve had in terms of all-round ability,” said Fry.

“I’m sure that if we stay with him, loan him out and let him get his confidence back he’ll be very good for Peterborough in the future.”
