In support of Mental Health Awareness Week, League Football Education has teamed up with the Sporting Chance Clinic and If U Care Share to outline various methods to help look after your well-being.
League Football Education is committed to improving the mental health agenda inside and outside of football. Through face-to-face and online education to academy players, parents, carers and staff, the opportunity is being taken to provide an understanding of mental health and how support can be accessed.
As part of the Heads Up campaign, working together with the Royal Foundation and the football family, League Football Education is sharing best practice and striving to create a mentally healthy culture in football.
No matter what anyone is faced with, there are people with abilities and experience who can help. There is always a way forward. It is not a sign of weakness to ask for help, it is a step towards strength.
If PFA members wish to speak with someone in confidence and private, there is access to a 24/7 well-being service, which can be reached on 07500 000777 or [email protected].
There are also a variety of other options available to everyone, some of which can be found here.
