The deadline is looming for clubs to nominate an outstanding Apprentice player for LFE Apprentice of the Year ahead of the fourteenth annual English Football League awards evening in April.
This award recognises the outstanding young professionals at EFL Clubs who excel both on and off the pitch. Players registered as first or second-year apprentices, or first-year professionals (if he started on an Apprenticeship contract and then converted at 17 to a pro contract) are eligible for this award.
Each club is encouraged to nominate their outstanding apprentice player, which should be one player only per club. The nomination will be considered on a divisional basis, with one winner per division.
Judges will take playing records, educational attainments and disciplinary records into account, as well as any other outstanding achievements. Winners will receive national recognition at the 2018-19 EFL Awards, which will take place on Sunday 7th April at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The final date to submit a nomination for LFE Apprentice of the Year is Friday 22 February.
