Eddie was released by Shrewsbury Town FC in 2005, having completed A Levels in PE, French and Biology. He used these qualifications to apply for a place at Liverpool John Moores University where he is currently studying towards a degree in Sports Science.
Eddie is also planning to use the Level 2 Coaching Certificate that he achieved on the programme to bring in some extra money coaching kids over the summer.
“In the future,” says Eddie, “I’d like to use these qualifications to work abroad, ideally in France where I can use my French A Level.”
