Dickson Keen To Help Saints March On

Southampton have completed the signing of left-back Ryan Dickson on a three-year contract from League One rivals Brentford.

Dickson started his career as an Apprentice at Plymouth Argyle and admits that his south coast roots helped him make the move to the Saints.

Speaking to the Club’s official website he said:

??“Being from the south I know all about Southampton and know that it is a great Club. You can tell that it has been through its dark days and that things are really turning around now for the better.”

“The Chairman and the Manager didn’t have to sell it to me too hard! There were Championship Clubs interested in me, but I can see the potential here, even though we are a division below.”

“I want to play at the highest level and I know that this is the quickest way for me to be able to do that.”

“The Chairman has impressed me with his aspirations for the Club and the Manager has told me a lot about the team, about the personnel who are already here.”

“Everything is being put in place here to take the Club to the highest level so it wasn’t a difficult decision to make.”
