Crawley Town Sign Jamie Proctor From Swansea City

Crawley Town have completed the signing of Swansea City forward Jamie Proctor for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Swans from Preston North End in August, has signed an 18-month deal at the Broadfield Stadium.

“Unfortunately it hasn’t worked out for him at Swansea because they have a very strong squad,” Reds boss Richie Barker told the Club website.

“He wants to get his career kick-started and he fits the template of player I want here.”

Proctor came through Preston’s Apprenticeship programme in 2010 and Barker feels that he is getting a player capable of bettering himself.

“He is talented, wants to work hard and is at an age where he can only improve,” Barker continued.

“I have monitored Jamie throughout his career and when the opportunity came to bring him to the Club I didn’t hesitate for a second.”

Proctor did not make a senior appearance for the Swans and played three games during a loan spell at Shrewsbury Town earlier this season.
