County Striker Ben Signs New Contract

Ben Fairclough

Notts Couty striker Ben Fairclough has signed a new one-year contract.

The former Nottingham Forest Apprentice, who attended LFE’s 2008 Assessment Trials, started just two games for the Magpies last season but made a further nine appearances from the bench.

The youngster, now 20, will hope to feature more prominently at Meadow Lane next term.

Boss Ian McParland said:

“Ben’s a good young player. He’s raw but I like what I’ve seen of him in the last year.”

Fairclough said:

“I’m really pleased. It is a weight off my mind to be tied down. I’m chomping at the bit to force myself into the team a little more.”
