Cook Blow For Barrow

Andy Cook

Carlisle Utd striker Andy Cook has returned to the club from a loan spell at Barrow after suffering an injury.

The youngster was substituted at half-time in the Bluebirds’ 2-2 draw with AFC Wimbledon on Saturday and has returned to Brunton Park for an assessment on a foot injury.

United boss Greg Abbott said:

“It’s very badly bruised and painful but we don’t know the extent of the problem.

“If it’s just bruising then he should be back fairly quickly but if there is a crack involved then it could be longer-term.”

Cook’s injury is a blow for both player and club, with the striker having agreed a return to Holker Street following a successful initial period on loan with Barrow.
