Crystal Palace defender Nathaniel Clyne has rejected a move to Wolves.
The young full-back, who has come through the Club’s Apprenticeship programme, snubbed a move to Molineux yesterday after Wolves agreed a fee with Palace’s administrators.
With Mick McCarthy keen to bolster his squad before the close of the transfer deadline, Wolves had been keen to capitalise on Palace’s financial problems but the youngster, who is highly regarded at Selhurst Park, opted to stay put.
Joint administrator Brendan Guilfoyle confirmed they had accepted a bid from Wolves, but that Clyne was not interested in a move to Molineux.
“Nathaniel Clyne was given permission to speak to Wolves after they agreed a fee for his services, but he has refused to open talks with him.” Guilfoyle told skysports.com.
