Where did you study for your BTEC with LFE?
I studied at Carlisle United with the Community Trust.
What are you doing now?
I am currently in my first year studying my BSc in Sports Coaching and Fitness, alongside this I work within the Hamilton Academy coaching their Cat 1 U18 Girls. I am also working for Glasgow Rangers coaching within the elite centre as well as within schools leading and delivering sessions to primary age children. I have just been offered an opportunity abroad over the summer period leading and delivering coaching sessions.
How did the LFE programme support you with your career aspirations?
LFE and Carlisle United supported me with my career aspirations providing opportunities to learn and coach. I learned a lot through the different assignments within the BTEC and by getting to coach with the club on holiday camps and in schools. Those experiences gave me a chance to enhance my skills and further my coaching skills.
What advice would you give to any learners on programme with us?
My advice for future learners would be to go for it, be it in football or in anything, don’t hesitate. At the end of the day, the door isn’t always open so take opportunities when you can and see where it leads you.
