Bennett Scoops Fans Award

Ryan Bennett

Grimsby Town defender Ryan Bennett has won the PFA Fans Player of the Month for February following a number of strong performances.

Last seasons League Two Apprentice of the Year has continued where he left off last term and while the Mariners may be struggling at the wrong end of the table, the highly-rated teenager continues to take the plaudits.

Manager Mike Newell told the Club’s official website:

“It’s nice that people recognise what he’s doing at the moment, he’s going from strength to strength and he wants to improve. It won’t be the last thing he wins.”

The PFA Fans Player Awards are the only official awards of The Professional Footballers’ Association that are voted for by the fans.
