Congratulations go to Matt Duffy of Carlisle United as February 2009 Apprentice of the Month.
A regular in both the Blues Youth team and Reserves, Duffy is a reliable and versatile defender who has played in the centre of defence, left back and in midfield.
Away from the pitch Matt has worked extremely hard on his education programme this year and last, undertaking extra units in his own time to complete the BTEC National Diploma with distinction profile.
Throughout his Apprenticeship he has demonstrated an excellent, hard-working attitude and in his first year Matt completed an AS-level in Law alongside the NVQ and BTEC achieving an A grade.
His dedication and conscientious approach looks set to stand him in good stead for the future, having recently been offered places at universities in the UK and the US.
