Anoruo Finds New-town

Obi Anoruo

Wrexham have allowed 18 year old Obi Anoruo to join Welsh Premier Club Newtown on loan.

Playing time at the Racecourse is limited for Anoruo at the moment and the opportunity for the Liverpool-based striker to gain first team experience will be invaluable.

The youngster went straight into the Newtown squad that took on TNS on Tuesday evening.

Anoruo is not the only Dragon to have headed for pastures anew on loan, with Wrexham also allowing former Apprentice Matty Hurdman to join UniBond League Division One North club Colwyn Bay on a month’s loan.

The former Wales under-17 International made his debut and gave a man-of-the-match performance against Prescot Cables last week.
