Aldershot Trio Pen Two-year Deals

Aldershot Apprentices Douglas Bergqvist, Henrik Breimyr and Adam Mekki have penned two-year professional contracts with the League Two club.

Centre-back Bergqvist, 18, midfielder Breimyr, 17, and winger Mekki, 19, are products of the Club’s Apprenticeship programme.

Mekki has made six first-team appearances this season while Bergqvist and Breimyr are yet to feature for the Shots.

Manager Dean Holdsworth said: “I am delighted with these signings.”

“All three players have shown great promise and they should be very proud on signing. Their attitude has been spot on and we can now look to really further their careers.”

“It is not often that there are as many youngsters knocking on the door for contracts as we have had at Aldershot Town and that is encouraging.”

“I am really pleased with the youth set-up here. It is an exciting time for the club and for the players too.”
