Dale Players Go Back to School

Rochdale Youth Team Skipper Jamie Allen returned to his former High School last week to show inequality in sport the red card!

Jamie was joined by fellow team-mate Kevin Masirika and members of Dale’s Football in the Community Trust at the Matthew Moss High School in Rochdale.

Pupils at the school focused on issues such as racism and homophobia and came up with campaigns to raise awareness of and to tackle the issues.

Jamie and Kevin spent the afternoon watching presentations by the youngsters and were on hand to select the winning form group. They will present the winners with their prize during half time at this weekend’s match against Wycombe Wanderers.

James Glennie, the school’s Pastoral Second organised the event. He was delighted to see Jamie back at the school: “It was fantastic to see an ex pupil of the school return to support this idea. The pupils loved every minute he was there.”
