McGleish Strike Ends Charlton’s Home Run

A Scott McGleish strike was enough to prevent Charlton Athletic from joining Norwich City and Leeds United at the top of League One last night.

McGleish who has backed LFE’s Progression strategy, scored on his return to the club where he first made his entrance to League Football.

His strike ended Charlton’s unbeaten home record and lifted Leyton Orient out of the relegation zone.

Charlton had missed a glut of opportunities during the first half but McGleish headed in Sean Thornton’s cross after 48 minutes to give Orient all 3 points.
