Curle Tells Potts To Forget Moving & Just Enjoy His Football

Carlisle United manager Keith Curle has told Brad Potts to enjoy his football and bide his time for a move.

Speaking to BBC Radio Cumbria, former England defender Curle said that Potts’ agent is touting to player around to other clubs.

Curle who arrived at Brunton Park in September with the Cumbrians bottom of League Two has lifted the club up to 20th with 12 points from a possible 21.

Potts, who came through the Carlisle’s apprenticeship programme has scored three times since his arrival.

“It doesn’t bother me. Brad’s agent can talk to whoever because more interest means the price goes up and we don’t have to sell him anyway,” Curle told BBC Radio Cumbria.

Potts who has been capped by England at Under-19 level has been deployed in midfield this term after making the majority of his 93 appearances for Carlisle at full-back.

“Managers stick together and I got a call telling me Brad’s agent was trying to sell him, and our head of recruitment Lee Dykes has had the same,” Curle continued.

“I’m not concerned at all. I spoke with Pottsy and told him to enjoy himself and to keep doing what he’s doing, then everyone will get their rewards.”
