Crewe Looking To Extend Moore Stay

Crewe Alexandra are due to hold further contract talks with Byron Moore as they look to extend his stay at Gresty Road.

The striker, who came through the Club’s Youth ranks, has made 116 league appearances for the Club since making his debut in 2007.

The Club are now hoping to tie the front-man to a new deal that would see him extend his stay at Gresty Road until the summer of 2014.

Crewe Manager Dario Gradi, who has made millions for the Club through selling on talented young players, is hopeful that Moore could be another of those players. He said:

“I don’t think he and his agent want to make financial demands, they just want to talk about his future.”

“I’ve initially spoken to Byron and it has been encouraging, Neil Baker has spoken to his agent (the former Stoke player Clive Clarke) so I’m sure everything will be straight forward. He will ask some questions and we will answer them.”

“I’m sure Byron will want to know about his future. He has been in-and-out of the side a bit and he will want to know where he can end up.”

“The younger ones usually want to be reassured that they can move up if the chance comes and we explain to them how it works here. The indication I am getting from Byron is that he will sign,” he added.
