Aldred Set To Make Hornets Move

Speculation is mounting that former LFE Blogger Tom Aldred is set to leave Carlisle United to sign for Watford.

According to SkySports.com Watford made their move for Aldred after he turned down a new deal at Brunton Park.

Aldred who came through the Cumbrians Apprenticeship programme made his first team bow for Carlisle last term but has previously gained experience on-loan to Blue Square North Club Workington.

Having starred while on-loan at the Reds, Aldred returned to Brunton park to make six first-team appearances.

The 19 year old appears to have suitably impressed Hornets boss Malky Mackay who has moved quickly to lure him to Vicarage Road.

Carlisle will be due a compensation fee from Watford for Aldred as his contract had expired at Brunton Park.
