Yates Keen to Keep Jeffers

Cheltenham Town Manager Mark Yates has said he wants to extend the loan of Coventry City teenager Shaun Jeffers.

The 18-year-old, who has scored twice in four games, links up with the England U19 squad on Sunday to prepare for their friendly against Slovakia.

We’re delighted with Shaun and it’s a youth loan which we can do on a short terms basis to suit both clubs, Yates told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

Aidy Boothroyd is more than happy with how things are working out.
Jeffers made four substitute appearance for Coventry after signing with them as a trainee in 2009.
