Preston North End defender Bailey Wright has signed a two-year contract extension which will keep him at Deepdale until 2017.

Australia international Wright, who is a graduate of the Lilywhites academy, has made 143 appearances for Preston.

The 22-year-old central defender who helped the club return to the Championship last term told the club’s website, “I’m delighted to extend my time here.”

“I’m sure there will still be some new faces to come but I’m delighted with how things are going and looking forward to the season ahead.”
