Brentford romped to a 6 – 2 victory over Thurrock in the second round of the FA Youth Cup when they scored five second-half goals.
The Bees were 2 – 1 down at the break but made their intentions clear in the second half when substitute David Pitt made an immediate impact, equalising just seven minutes after coming on.
Two goals a piece for Tom Davis and Rob Nicholls, as well as a late effort by Geoff Banks-Smith, completed the evening’s scoring and secured a convincing victory.
Brentford will play host to Premier League side Middlesborough in the Third Round which kicks off tonight.
