Wednesday Youngster Gets Northern Ireland Call

Promising Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Simon Hanna has been called up to represent Northern Ireland in their trio of UEFA Championship qualifying fixtures.

The 17-year-old who currently captain’s the Owls’ Under-18 squad has been rewarded for making excellent progress this term.

Stephen Craigan’s Northern Ireland side will play 3 matches in five days, starting with mini tournament hosts Belgium on the 10 October.

They will then face 2010 winners and last year’s finalists France before taking on Iceland in their final fixture.
