Trio Head to Chorley FC

Jordan Stepien Jack Dorney and Tom Ince have all agreed to join former boss Garry Flitcroft at UniBond League Division One North Club Chorley.

The trio leave Leigh Genesis to link up with Flitcroft at Victory Park having played a starring role in Leigh’s push for the play-offs last season, scoring forty-five goals between them in all competitions.

Speaking about his acquisitions, Flitcroft said:

“I’m delighted Jordan, Jack and Tom have agreed to join us. They’re three very exciting young players who will give us a real goal threat next season.”

“Jordan scored twenty-odd goals for Leigh last season and he missed the last eight games with an injury. Had he stayed fit, we probably would have made the play-offs.”

“As for Jack and Tom, I like to play with wingers and they both have great ability, as well as a fantastic work ethic. I think the fans will enjoy watching all three of them play.”

Stepien was Leigh’s top scorer last season, bagging twenty-one goals in forty appearances in all competitions.

Ince also helped himself to fifteen goals and scooped both the Supporters’ Player of the Year and the Players’ Player of the Year awards. Meanwhile, Dorney chipped in with nine goals from fifty-one appearances.

All three youngsters came through the AASE programme at Football League Clubs with Stepien and Dorney both having been at Bury, while Ince started out at Burnley.
