Tranmere Sign Sheffield United Defender

Tranmere Rovers have signed Harrison McGahey on a youth loan from Sheffield United until the end of the season.

The young defender joined the Blades after completing his apprenticeship at Blackpool last summer and has made 22 appearances this season.

McGahey started for Rovers during their 2-0 defeat at York at the weekend and it is hoped that he will bolster the League Two strugglers.

“Harrison is a versatile right-sided defender,” manager Micky Adams told the club website.
