Tozer Quits St. James’ Park

Newcastle United’s Ben Tozer is expected to leave St James’ Park after agreeing a deal to quit the club.

The defender joined the Magpies three years ago after coming through Swindon Town’s successful youth programme.

However he has failed to establish himself in the North East making just two first-team appearances in that time and spending the majority of last term on loan at Northampton Town.

He made 34 appearances across two loan spells with the Cobblers and they are now favourites to secure his signature on a permanent basis.
