Town Aim For Featherstone Return

Grimsby Town Boss Neil Woods would like to bring Hull City midfielder Nicky Featherstone back to the Mariners on loan.

The 21 year old’s month-long stay at Blundell Park ended after Saturday’s 1-1 home draw against Bury.

Woods who formerly headed up the Club’s Youth Department until his recent appointment as Manager, said:

“We’ve spoken to Hull about Nicky and we’d like him to stay here for longer. They want a chat with him this week to see what they want to do but we are hopeful because he has enjoyed it here.”

Featherstone made seven League Two appearances for the Mariners during his first spell on loan at the Club.
