Toughest Game So Far

On Saturday we played Edsbyn away in which would turn out to be one of the toughest games we’ve played all season.

We were missing two key players in Oscar, our top goal scorer and Anton, one of our defenders, so we knew it wouldn’t be easy.

We did not start the game very well but gradually grew into the game as the first half progressed. However, after 15 minutes we lost Elliot, one of our main goal threats, through injury.

Semiar, a new player we signed last week we came on at right wing and Ryan went up front which turned out to be a rewarding decision.

We started the second half as we finished the first half, with constant waves of attack and putting them under increasing pressure. We had a number of good chances to open the scoring but we just couldn’t seem to score, and it was looking like it was going to be one of those afternoons.

With the time ticking down, we knew we had to score a goal soon, and with about 10 minutes to go we made the breakthrough. Ryan scored a great goal from the edge of the box and played really well up front, in addition this gave us more options for future games in case people get injured.

Although they were third from bottom Edsbyn were amongst the best teams we’ve played defensively.

Next week the team top of the league are playing second placed team, so this time next week we could be sitting in first position. Wish us luck!!
