Stanley Keen To Bring Lees Back From United

Accrington Stanley Manager John Coleman has admitted that he would bring Tom Lees back to the Club if he is given the chance to.

The Leeds United full-back made 46 appearances for Stanley last term during a season-long loan at the League Two Club but has now returned to his parent Club in the hope of forcing his way in to first team contention.

However, Coleman is keen to see the 19 year old defender return to Stanley on loan and confirmed that he has already contacted Leeds regarding the youngster.

Coleman said:

“I’ve made an enquiry to Leeds regarding Tom Lees, but he wants to go back and have a crack at getting to the side there first. If it doesn’t work out for him then I would be more than happy to bring him back here.”

“I reckon he will know whether he is part of their first-team plans when pre-season gets underway, so I’d prefer to bring him back before the actual season starts if I can.”
