Smith Signs For Brentford On Loan

Ipswich Town defender Tommy Smith has agreed a one-month loan deal with League One side Brentford.

Smith, 19, who has come through the Apprenticeship programme at the Club, has made 10 appearances for the Tractor Boys this term but has not featured in manager Roy Keane’s squad since October.

Speaking to the Club website, he said:

“It’s a chance for me to go out and play regular first-team football. That’s what I need at the moment.”

Smith is eligible for selection in New Zealand’s squad for the World Cup.
