Stevenage Borough today completed the emergency loan signing of England U17 Tommy Smith.
The LFE Apprentice of the Month (Sept) has been a regular in the reserves for Ipswich Town but will join up with Boro tomorrow and be available for this Saturdays home game with Grays Athletic.
Town boss Jim Magilton has agreed to allow the highly rated centre-back to spend a month with Peter Taylor’s Blue Square Premier side.
Smith, 17, was recruited by Ipswich’s Academy at the start of the 2006/07 season and signed a three-year professional contract in August 2007.
