Rovers Bring In Sordell

Tranmere Rovers completed the signing of Watford striker Marvin Sordell on Monday night on a one-month loan deal.

The 18 year old has come through the Youth ranks at Vicarage Road where he is a first year professional.

He has made four first team appearances this season and been a regular in their Reserve side. His first competitive goal came against Leeds United in the Carling Cup.

Speaking to the Club’s website, Rovers Manager Les Parry said:

“Marvin is a very promising young striker and I’m delighted to have signed him on loan.”

“We’ve been short of goals recently and hopefully Marvin will bring us some added firepower. He’s fast and strong and will be a good addition to our squad.”

“I’d like to thank Watford manager Malky Mackay for allowing Marvin to come on loan to us.”

Sordell will now be available for selection for Tranmere’s home fixture against Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
