Puma Youth Alliance Update

As we cross the halfway point in the season the battle is well underway for the regional Conference League titles in the Puma Youth Alliance.

In the South West Conference Swindon Town are 6 points clear of second placed Plymouth, but with two games in hand Argyle have a chance to catch the League leaders and retain their title for the second season running.

Rushden & Diamonds are currently sitting at the top of the South East Conference, but former League champions Queens Park Rangers have closed in and the Diamonds now face a tough battle for the top spot.

Last years League and Cup double winners Hull City will be looking to defend their crown, but having dropped to third position, 4 points now separate them from first placed Grimsby Town. However, the Tigers are two games behind Grimsby and second placed Darlington, and wins in both fixtures could see them go top.

In the North West Conference the Clarets have been left chasing Cumbria’s finest as they battle for first place. Burnley have led for most of the season with their impressive scoring record but Carlisle managed to go ahead just before the Christmas break to lead by 1 point.
