Progression 09 ‘The Southern Careers Event’ opened its doors this morning at 9.00am to be met by a stampede of Apprentice footballers and other elite athletes eager to participate in the event.
The event held at Reading’s Madejski Stadium will attract over 400 Apprentice & Professional players and other elite athletes as part of LFE’s strategy to support, re-train and provide alternative career and study opportunities to sporting Apprentices and those retiring from sport.
Featuring seminars, an exhibition and UK Sport’s Pitch2Podium initiative, the event provides young people with a one-stop shop for careers advice and face-to-face access to employers, training providers, universities, recruitment consultants and sports national governing bodies.
