Macclesfield Town defender Elliott Hewitt is in the Wales U21 squad that travels to Armenia for a crunch UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship qualification Group 3 match on Tuesday 15 November.
The game, which takes place in The Republican Stadium, Yerevan, home of the Armenian national team, could see Wales top The Group 3 table if other results go in their favour from the Armenia v Czech Republic and Montenegro v Andorra games which take place on the 11 November.
The top team from the group will qualify for the finals in Israel in 2013 with the best four second-placed sides facing a play-off.
Hewitt who came through Macc’s Apprenticeship programme last year will miss the Silkmen’s FA Cup trip to East Thurrock United on 12 November as a result of his international call-up.
