Lewin Nyatanga – Derby County

Lewin Nyatanga

During Lewin’s first season as a Derby County Apprentice he has become Wales’ youngest ever under-21 international and captain, signed a professional contract with Derby, secured a regular place in the first team and made his full international debut for Wales!

However, he has also managed to balance his football commitments with the education requirements of the NVQ and, having passed the BTEC First Diploma in Sport in his first year, is now undertaking an A Level in psychology.

Lewin admits that it has not been easy,

“It’s been a hectic year but very, very enjoyable. I’ve had to deal with a lot and there’s been some tough challenges, but I’m getting used to it and playing for Wales was an absolutely brilliant experience.”
