Jack Colback is relishing a return to the North East at the weekend as Ipswich Town prepare to take on Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.
The 19 year old midfielder has recently forced his way into the Blues’ side after joining the Club on loan from Sunderland.
The former Black Cats Apprentice is hoping to feature in Roy Keane’s plans this Saturday in the game against a Club he could have been playing for rather than against.
Speaking to the Club’s official website Jack said:
“I had a trial at Middlesbrough and Newcastle when I was nine or ten. Middlesbrough was an hour’s drive away from my home and at Newcastle it didnt really feel right so I went to Sunderland and ended up signing there.”
“My parents are planning to be at the Riverside on Saturday and hopefully I will be involved. I have played in the last few games and feel that I am imposing myself a bit more on the team but the results are the main thing and they have not gone as well as we would have liked.”
“We have trained well this week though and we’re confident we can go there and get result. The signs are there that things will change around very quickly. I think we just need a win or two to get going.”
