Ipswich Town apprentice Omar Sowumni has agreed his first professional deal at Portman Road.

The 18-year-old defender who hails from Colchester has been rewarded by the club after impressing in the under-18 and 21 teams.

He follows Ted Bishop and Darren McQueen in joining Mick McCarthy’s squad for next season.
