This morning I was out with Dave and the pro keepers. We did a bit of handling before going into some shot stopping. The pace of the ball is so much different when training with the pros. And you learn so much from just watching them. In the afternoon we had an 8-a-side match. My team won 4-1 despite Jamie’s best efforts to tie up the score, including giving the most dubious penalty I’ve ever seen! Thankfully Ray Shearwood proceeded to sky it over the bar. After the match I got some great news. I would be starting on Saturday against Accrington. Making my League debut for the youth team, I was absolutely thrilled with this news and couldn’t wait for the weekend.
