Gordon Receives Goal Gong

Bristol City Apprentice Elan Gordon finally got his hands on his LFE Goal of the Month prize last Saturday.

The City Academy forward’s fantastic finish at Stoke City back in August polled the majority of online votes to clinch the honour.

But Elan had to wait until half-time in the weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Peterborough Utd to collect his honour.

“It’s great to receive so many votes and win this award,” Elan said.

“There were some great goals in the mix so it’s very pleasing to win but I’d like to also thank my team-mates because ultimately if they don’t do their jobs I won’t get chances to score.”

“I’d like to thank all the Bristol City fans and any members of the public for their votes. It’s great to receive such fantastic support.”

Elan is pictured collecting the award from Academy assistant manager David Horseman.
