Goodbye Ange

This would be my last week in Sweden, we had two training sessions mid-week but because we were out the race for promotion it was not serious and we just had a bit of fun.

I had played my last game for Ange because I was suspended but the final game against Stode was important and a win would put Ange in the highest league position in the history of the Club.

Ange started well, passing and competing but within 10 minutes Stode scored a poor goal with our defending all over the place which I thought took the sting out of our play and we really didnt look the same again. Minutes before half time we conceded a second, and what started positively had changed into a shocker that was pretty hard to watch.

Again something must have been said by the gaffer at half time because for the first 10 minutes we looked like a team. We managed to pull one back with a good strike past the keeper but again sloppy defending cost us and we conceded. Heads dropped and we looked like a team that couldn’t put a pass together.

It ended 3 – 1 to Stode and we finished the season 4th in the league which was a disappointment as we had high hopes of promotion.

However, we had a great time at the end of season party despite the disappointment of the season. All the team went for a meal which then turned into a party. The whole of Ange was invited so about 5 people turned up. To be fair it was enjoyable and a great way to say goodbye to everyone!

Next day everyone was gone….never to return…
