LFE is pleased to announce that Watford’s Alex Jakubiak is the winner of the January 2013 Goal of the Month award.
Jakubiak’s superb strike against Peterborough United was the opener in a thrilling 3-2 victory on 12 January.
Academy boss Dave Hughes said: “I’m delighted for Alex.”
“The goal is just rewards for the the work he has put in, and his ability to take on board the things we’re asking of him. It was a really good team goal, there was some great interchange and movement involved.”
Jakubiak now joins Sulley KaiKai (Crystal Palace), Alex Laing (Crawley Town), Levander Pyke (Charlton Athletic), Josh Thomas (Nottingham Forest) and Dylan McGlade (Middlesbrough) in the hunt for LFE’s Goal for the Season award.
