Gills Offer Six Apprentices Deals

Gillingham have signed six of their nine Apprentices to contracts that will keep them at Priestfield next season.

Attacking midfielder Bradley Dack, one of the Youth Alliance’s top goalscorers this season, has signed a two-year deal, as have left-back Jack Parter and midfielder Jake Hessenthaler.

Centre-back Josh Hare, striker Nathan Nyafli and forward George Humber, who has been injured for most of this season, have all been offered a third year scholar.

Midfielder Jake McKenzie, left-winger Dylan Ford and goalkeeper Ashley Bourne have not been offered deals for next season but are all expected to have positive progression routes with University offers likely.

“It’s not an easy day for us all,” admitted Head of Youth Darren Hare. “I have a heavy heart with regards to the lads being released as they have been first class.”
