Foxes Youngster Joins Rovers

Leicester City youngster Luke O’Neill has signed for Tranmere Rovers on a one-month loan deal.

The 18 year old defender, who has come through the Club’s Apprenticeship programme, has made three first team appearances for the Foxes and has represented England at Under-17 level.

With Rovers short of defensive cover Manager Les Parry was keen to bolster his ranks, he said:

“I’m pleased to have been able to bring Luke in on loan. With Shaluem Logan suspended for two games we needed cover at right back and Luke will provide that.”

??“He is a talented young defender who has a bright future ahead of him. I’d like to thank Leicester Manager Nigel Pearson for allowing Luke to join us for a month.”

Luke will now be available for selection in Tranmere’s home fixture today against Leyton Orient.
