Forest Five Get New Deals

Nottingham Forest have offered new contracts to five youngsters including Mark Byrne.

The Irish midfielder made 44 appearances in a season-long loan with Rushden & Diamonds in 2009-10, scoring seven goals in the process.

Byrne has now returned to The City Ground in the hope of furthering his first team career that has so far been limited to substitute appearances.

The other 4 players to be offered new contracts are Young Player of the Year Karlton Watson, striker Tom Mullen, goalkeeper Zannettos Mytides and right back Kieron Freeman.

Forest have also announced they are releasing Shane Redmond, Jordan Fairclough, Jean Biansumba, Danny Elliott, Tim Hopkinson, Sean McCashin, Carl Sibson, Matthew Sykes, George Thomson, Max Wright and Tony Diagne.
