The Football League is inviting Clubs to nominate an outstanding Apprentice to be considered for national recognition at the 2011 Football League Awards.

One winner will be selected for each division and the winning players will receive a trophy for his achievement, £1,000 in holiday vouchers and an invite to attend the Football League Awards dinner at The Brewery in the City of London on Sunday 20th March 2011.

Each Club will be asked to nominate an outstanding Apprentice player, this should be one player only per Club. The player should be in the second year of his Apprenticeship (i.e. be in his Under 18 year and be registered as either a second year scholar or as a first year professional).

In selecting winners the judges will be considering the following criteria:

  • Disciplinary record
  • Any other outstanding achievements

Nomination forms have been distributed to all Football League Clubs. If you have any questions regarding this award please contact Pauline Hothersall at the Football League by email
