Five Sign Pro With Spireites

Chesterfield Manager John Sheridan has offered professional contracts to five of the Club’s Apprentices.

Craig Clay, Tendayi Darikwa, Chris Tingey, Ryan Granger and Jimmy Adcock have all been offered the chance to stay on at the Club as professionals and will be part of Sheridan’s first-team squad next season.

Speaking about the five, Sheridan said:

“They are young lads who deserve a chance and they will be training with the first-team squad next season,” said Sheridan.

“I think Clay has got a real chance and he will be in and around the first-team picture. The other lads have the opportunity to improve and if they grow up quickly and are good enough I will throw them in.”
