England U17’s To Host UEFA Elite Round

England will face Slovakia, Sweden and Malta in March 2010, after the four nations were drawn together in the Elite Round of the UEFA European U17 Championship.

In a move that is sure to delight Coach John Peacock, England has been selected as the host nation for all the Group 7 fixtures which will take place on 27th March, 29th March and 1st April 2010.

The young lions made it through to the Elite Round by topping their initial Qualifying Round group with three wins from three, over Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Serbia.

The nation who tops Group 7 will go on to compete in the Finals of the European Championship, which is being held in Liechtenstein next May.
